Do you own the property, or have written permission from the owner?

Tenants need a signed letter from the landlord before applying.

Question 2

Is the property in Great Britain (England, Wales, or Scotland)?

BUS doesn't cover Northern Ireland. Different schemes apply there.

Question 3

Is your EPC less than 10 years old?

A new EPC takes about a week to arrange if yours has expired. We can help organise one.

Question 4

Does your EPC list outstanding recommendations for loft or cavity wall insulation?

If yes, those measures need to be addressed first or installed alongside the heat pump.

Question 5

Does the home run on mains gas, or off-grid oil or LPG?

Off-grid oil and LPG homes can claim £9,000 instead of £7,500 between 21 Jul 2026 and 31 Mar 2027.
